Mindfulness

Starting the day by practicing mindfulness for 10-15 minutes each morning, resets the mind, calms the soul, and rejuvenates the body.

There are several ways in which mindfulness may be practiced.

  1. Find a calm and relaxing place in which you are able to close your eyes while focusing and describing your five senses. Example: What is it that I hear? Birds chirping etc; What am I able to smell? Example: fragrant flower etc.

  2. Spiritual meditation of reading a scripture verse containing a promise of God and then praying the verse back to God with a grateful heart. Example: Deuteronomy 31:6 “He will neither fail you nor abandon you”. “Thank you God that you will never fail or abandon me”.

  3. While eyes are closed, visualize a conveyor belt with your stressors and/or your daily tasks moving pass you on the conveyor belt without judgment and/or analyzing.
